Hangin' Out at a Rice Paddy in Chiang Mai

Our resort her in Chiang Mai is part of a working rice paddy. Makes for very interesting scenery.

This morning we got a two-hour tour of a local food market. It was great to be able to ask all the questions we wanted and get answers. Then we took the produce back to the hotel and learned how to make four different Thai dishes in this beautiful indoor-outdoor kitchen.

  1. The Four Seasons IS heavenly, no? Sounds as though you've recovered from your Delhi belly, and death by Bangkok traffic. I should have mentioned that it's best to minimise walking! Or have a trusted driver waiting for you at the Grand Palace.

  2. It looks beautiful and makes quite a contrast to the snow and grey skies outside my window.

As for Thai food, I could quite happily eat it to the exclusion of any other food.

  6. All I can say is....you lucky dog!

But who knew that Bangkok was so congested or polluted? I'd never heard that from friends and family who'd visited.

  9. Wow, what a view! That kitchen looks like a lot of fun too. Enjoy that Thai food. It's one of my favorite types of food. The hotter, the better.
